Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has joined Kenya Kwanza.Sonko,who was denied a ticket to contest for Mombasa Governor position was welcomed by DP William Ruto in Karen. The two have been in talks for several weeks.
Sonko’s rating was so high ,he was to win the race for Mombasa Governor but he was blocked by the court because he was impeached by Nairobi MCAs.He became bitter that Raila didn’t help him ,hence ditching Azimio for Kenya Kwanza.
Many politicians in Azimio believe that Sonko has always been in Kenya Kwanza,he only wanted to use Azimio wave to win the Mombasa Gubernatorial seat.But Raila knew his plans and blocked him from contesting.
Sonko is expected to campaign vigorously for Kenya Kwanza candidate in Mombasa to defeat Azimio,but it’s too late.
