A third year Bomet university female student stabbed her boyfriend in the chest after he told her that their love affair was over and they should part ways immediately.
According to Bomet central sub-county deputy police commandant Bashir Ali, Lucy Ogweno, 21 years of age, had visited her boyfriend at Sewage residential area on the outskirts of Bomet town in a company of another female friend where his boyfriend, 25 years of age and also a third year at the same college, broke the news of ending their love life.
The lady allegedly got agitated and removed a kitchen knife he was hiding in her panty and stabbed him in the chest, where he collapsed and fell down immediately.
The lady she was in company with restrained her from doing more harm and raised the alarm, attracting other occupants in the estate.
He was rescued and rushed to Tenwek hospital while unconscious.
The suspect was arrested by the school security officers and handed over to Bomet Central police station for interrogation.
