Amon Kipruto has been suffering from severe abdominal pains, just a few months after selling one kidney for KSH 600,000, an operation that was done at MediHeal Hospital in Eldoret. Kipruto now regrets what he did, which was as a result of getting broke for a while, and he needed quick money to cater for his needs. He is now getting weak day after day, his body is hugely emaciated and unable to eat. The MedHeal hospital is under scrutiny following reports of the illegal trade in kidneys. It is said that even when a mother is taken to deliver, she might wake up missing a certain body organ.
Medheal Hospital is one of the biggest hospitals in Eldoret. It has been facing challenges since 2022 when President Ruto was sworn in as the president. Mishra, the owner of Medheal Hospital opposed Ruto’s presidency, he ended up losing his seat and business.
Kipruto claims that he was paid Ksh500,000 instead of Ksh600,000 which the hospital promised him.
