A man has been shot dead in Kisumu by the police following a fierce confrontation between the police and CORD protestors.
The unidentified man alongside others were protesting against IEBC when the police fired live bullets to disperse them. Unfortunately, a bullet hit him in the head, sending him to the creator.
Meanwhile, protests are ongoing in Kisumu, Nairobi, Kisii, Kakamega and Mombasa but the police are doing everything to stop them.
Earlier on the police, in a statement to the newsroom, indicated that the protests are illegal. They called upon CORD leaders to shelve their plans and instead give peace a chance.
Raila Odinga, the man behind the protests has, however, maintained that the protests will continue until IEBC bow to pressure.
