Uhuru was a happy man on Monday as he received a warm reception at the lakeside city. The president was in Kisumu to celebrate the Silver Jubilee at Uzima College.
He was received by opposition leader Raila Odinga and throughout the session they shared jokes and laughed like kids .They left supporters embarrassed and questioning why they always engage each other
During the ceremony ,Raila requested Uhuru to fire Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru and also ensure Weston Hotel is demolished since it stands on Kenya Civil Aviation Authority land.
Over Sh 800 million was lost from Waiguru’s ministry through NYS.She has maintained that no money was lost.However,CORD leader Raila Odinga accused the minister of embezzling the funds and called upon her to step aside to allow thorough investigation to be conducted.
The Minister is still in office and she has not shown signs of leaving the office.President Uhuru Kenyatta has also vowed to stand by the hard working minister,arguing that those who are calling for her dismissal are enemies of development.
