There was a time when PhD holders used to have a say in politics, business, work place, teaching institutions and even social places..that time is over.Today,PhD is as useless as diploma courses which have been rendered obsolete. There is no one who can fear you in the modern world simply because you possess a PhD paper.
As we are moving towards digital generation, people respect and adore individuals with talent and output that can positively influence their financial status. They prefer associating with musicians, comedians, bloggers, journalists, politicians and businesspersons. The youths of today are not interested in beards-which are common among PhD holders and professors-but rather celebrities. You will be surprised that a socialite has more say in the society than a professor.
The most irritating thing about a PhD certificate is that you can write as many papers as possible, publish them in popular journals and even go ahead to distribute to friends, but no one will read your useless papers. We are in a generation where people, especially the youth, prefer reading articles on blogs rather than journals-unless they are forced to refer an article from a journal.
What makes me wonder most is the fact that most PhD holders of today are extremely incompetent, fake and highly unreliable. They are best at copying people’s work, which was published by individuals like Isaac Newton. No PhD holder should cheat you that they have published original work, if they do, simply ask them why they haven’t come up with a serious idea like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates.
I know you will dispute this, but let me tell you: the reason behind many individuals joining PhD studies is due to the believe that their salaries will be much better once they are called DR.But the bitter truth is: no one will pay you simply because you have added another paper on your wardrobe. The modern day employer wants to see innovative minds, they want to see their millions multiply through your efforts. They are not interested at the number of academic papers you possess.
Now, since in the corporate world the PhD holders and professors are not needed, they have now flocked training institutions. The lazy professors and doctors, who believe their beards is the sole source of intelligence, are producing half-baked students. About 3 decades ago, all innovations came from academic doctors and professors, but not these days.In fact,if you look around, people who have come up with great ideas are school drop outs and college drop outs-PhD holders and professors are nowhere near the world of innovation.
Initially, PhD was introduced to help institutions and the world at large with new and fresh ideas, but the degree has turned out to be more useless than even a certificate course. With that fact in mind, can I be justified to say PhD is useless?!
