President Uhuru Kenyatta visited former president, Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarnet home, barely a week after Mama Ngina Kenyatta visited the second president of the Republic of Kenya. It has emerged that the conversation between Moi and Uhuru centered on election and succession politics.
Yesterdayโs meeting between the president and former president resurrected so many unanswered question from Moi to Kenyatta family.Moi was so specific, and he asked Uhuru,โsince you are planning to hand over to Ruto, which position does my son hold in that line upโ.Uhuru answered, โby 2017 Ruto would have completed his term, we shall plan to accommodate Gideon in the succession planโ.
In the meeting, Moi said his son does not have any problem supporting Uhuru but his only problem Uhuruโs disrespectful deputy. He narrated how they worked together with the late Kenyatta and requested the President to consider talking to his deputy.
Towards the end of the meeting, Gideon emerged and the two (Uhuru and Gideon) were seen sharing jokes, as demonstrated below.
