Tononkoa rally in Mombasa was historical, thanks to Uhuru’s financial muscles. It is estimated that over 10,000 people attended Uhuru’s rally, most of them wearing Jubilee t-shirts and caps.
CORD luminaries expected the rally to be poorly attended but their wishes were washed away by the ever calculating president. Even Joho could not believe his eyes when he watched photos on television of a mammoth crowd jubilating.
But as Jubilee celebrates the victory, several people who were ferried to the ground are stranded at the famous ground after the organizers abandoned them. It is estimated that more than 4,000 people were ferried from neighbouring counties to fill the field.
Also,most people who attended were planning to attend Joho’s aborted rally,but since they had nothing to do on a Sunday, they went to see with their own eyes people they only see on TV.
