Chaos in Mombasa as Joho is Blocked from Accessing Uhuru’s Event in Mtongwe

Mombasa Governor has been held at Nyali Bridge by police after he tried to attend Uhuru’s event at Mtongwe, prompting chaos.

Currently the governor is trying to push his way into Mtongwe but police have told him, “no way”. People are now demonstrating and demanding Joho’s release.

We are informed more than 100 police officers  are currently at Nyali bridge: people are thoroughly screened, especially those in cars.

Tension is high, tempers have risen and police are alert.
