James Orengo and Norman Magaya had arranged for the swearing in ceremony of Raila Odinga but the former Prime minister refused to dig his own grave.

Raila has a dark past and at one time he was detained for treason and tortured.

Odinga was jailed for 8 years in 1982 for Treason….. (don’t ask how his wife gave birth to a son and a daughter during this period). His accomplices in that criminal case were all executed and were buried in Kamiti Prison. But Odinga was released in 1988, 6 years later, after Moi struck a political pact with Jaramogi.

He was imprisoned again in 1989, tortured in dreaded Nyayo chambers for a year after which he fled to Norway before he returned to campaign for his

Odinga knows the meaning of the word Treason and its consequences more than Muthama and Orengo.He would, therefore, not fall for Orengo’s trap.Raila would rather any other crime but not Treason.

On Tuesday,Raila will be relaxing in his home, watching the swearing in ceremony of President Kenyatta.
