The worst places to work for include local banks, call center agencies and security firms. For instance, Kencall pays Ksh35,000 to fresh graduates while KK security pays as low as Ksh 50,000 to degree holders. Companies like K24 look big but their pay is not what graduates would anticipate.

Since 2013,most companies have downsized .surprisingly,few companies have reviewed their employees salaries upwards.The most affected are government institutions like KRA .Salaries of employees of KRA have stagnated for almost three years and we expect them to remain the same for another 1 year.The institution used to give their employees annual bonuses equivalent to their salaries but that culture ended few years ago;nowadays they pay bonuses only when they surpass targets.
