Kenyans refuse to Celebrate Utamaduni Day, Maintaining Boxing Day

Kenyans have not welcomed the idea of Utamaduni day as suggested by the Cabinet. Most Kenyans argue that instead of the cabinet sitting to suggest a name for us, they should be dealing with important issues like how to revive the ailing economy.

The cabinet had suggested that boxing day be renamed Utamaduni Day so as to celebrate our culture. Kenyans on the other hand said, “no thank you” and urged the government to direct their energy towards eliminating corruption, poverty and reviving the economy. They added that government should leave them celebrate Boxing Day in peace.

Today, nobody is mentioning the name Utamaduni but all Kenyans are enthusiastic about Boxing Day.It seems Kenyans are broke, tired and irritated to the extent of defying government policies.
