Citizen TV, NTV and KTN have all stopped counting presidential votes. Since 3pm they have not added anymore results. The main reason is that they are not allowed to tally 100% of the results because the figures they put on the screens are not verified by the IEBC.The moment over 90% of the votes were counted by the media stations, they were informed to stop displaying the result.
Counting 100% of the votes and putting the results on the screens can bring tension.
Another reason why they aren’t counting more votes is because someone tried to hack their systems to put fake results. Since they had not backed up all the results, they had to clean their systems.
IEBC chairman is expected to announce the result before Saturday 13/8/2022.He will announce the results based on constituencies.
