Nation Media Group (NMG) sacked one of its best journalists, Dennis Galava, on Monday after he criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta in one of his articles published on Nation newspaper.
Galava appeared before a disciplinary committee on Monday to explain why he used harsh words against the President.
After the sitting, the committee handed him a letter dismissing him with immediate effect
The incident has been heavily criticized as it waters down the gains media industry has observed since the start of the new millennium.
