Ruto to build Ksh1.2 million church in State House Nairobi

President Ruto is planning to build Ksh1.2 billion church in State House. According to Daily Nation, the church will be used for worshipping. The newspaper claims that already the structural and architectural plans are ready and construction will commence soon.

Pauline Njoroge laments:

A church at state house? Financed by taxpayers?
Isn’t our constitution clear on separation of religion and state? “There shall be no state religion.”
So how were such funds authorized?

Also, under which denomination will this church be concerated? And are they also going to build a mosque, and a centre for traditional worship?

Most importantly, is it that all the needs of Kenyans have been met; all children are in school under government sponsorship, every Kenyan is accessing free healthcare at all levels, the transport system across the country is at global level etc etc, and all that has been left is to build a church in state house costing this staggering amount of money?”

Kenyans are wondering whether Ruto will build a mosque, Hinduism church and other places of worship at State House.
