Uganda goalkeeper Abel Dhaira is dead
Dhaira, 28, succumbed to cancer while undergoing treatment in Iceland.
Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has sent his condolence to the family and friends. The President promised to foot all the bills and facilitate in returning the body back to Uganda.
“I have received the sad news of the passing of our Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Abel Dhaira who succumbed to cancer in Iceland. It is a pity that he’s gone while still very young, however, we celebrate his contribution to the country. The government will meet all expenses involved in returning his body. May the good Lord comfort Dhaira’s family and friends during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace”,said the president.
