Westgate shopping mall opened to the public on Saturday after closing for 22 months following the September 21st 2013 terror attack.
There was tight security within and without the Mall as security officer left nothing to chance.All the customers and other visitors were thoroughly screened before being allowed into the mall.The building is also fitted with CCTV cameras which are controlled from a central location.At the gate, bomb detectors are fitted to ensure no vehicle can pass past the check point with Bombs.
The opening ceremony was enough sign that Kenyans are indeed resilient and no amount of external aggressions can scare the Citizens.
Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero led thousands of other shoppers in gracing the occasion.Even some of the victims of the previous attack were present during the opening ceremony.
