International Criminal Court Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda is set to terminate DP William Ruto and Journalist Joshua Sang cases in August.
Earlier in July, Bensouda requested the court to allow her use evidence presented to Ocampo by the Waki led Commission but the court refused to grant her the request, leaving her with a single option; to terminate the cases.
The prosecutor is set to address the court and inform them about her wish to terminate the cases and set the two free.
Ruto and Sang cases got a major boost when Bensouda’s key witness failed to appear in the court. The witness decided to withdraw in the last minute; he was the last witness.
