President Uhuru Kenyatta has clarified that he has never tested Waiguru; she is neither his girlfriend nor wife. He stated that he has one wife, Margaret Kenyatta, whom he respects a lot.
Uhuru was responding to allegations by Johnson Muthama and several Kenyans who have always wondered why the President is so reluctant to sacking the Minister yet her Ministry has been adversely mentioned in corruption.
Muthama is facing charges of incitement and vulgar language in a public forum. His tongue landed him in trouble when he claimed that Waiguru is Uhuru’s girlfriend.
Speaking during his Rift Valley tour, the President told critics off and assured Kenyans that his government is in control. He promised to restore the economy and implement all projects he promised to do during his 2013 campaigns. He used the platform to defend the creation of Jubilee Party which he described as ideal for uniting Kenyans.
The President warned Alfred Keter against sponsoring a motion to impeach Anne Waiguru.He further reiterated that the Devolution Cabinet Secretary is going nowhere despite noises from the Opposition. Meanwhile NYS Director Nelson Githinji, whose docket is under focus, has resigned to pave way for investigations.
