CORD leader Raila Odinga has arrived from his successful tour to Israel. This morning he met embattled Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho at Capitol Hill office.
Raila, who looked disturbed, thanked Joho for his stand and urged him to remain firm in his beliefs and commitment to the party and fight for what is right for his people.
Joho took time to explain to him how his support for the CORD leader has cost his business and affected his personal life. But the CORD leader explained to him the fruits of undergoing such challenges, explaining how he suffered in the hands of Moi.He however urged him to soldier on.
Raila almost pre emptied one secret. That Joho might be his running mate in 2017 since he is now the most influential leader at the Coast and could easily be more popular outside the Coast region.
He assured the governor and other Coast leaders of his personal support against intimidation by the National Government. He also thanked Malindi voters for standing with ODM despite intimidation by the National government and massive bribery.
