Central Bank of Kenya has confirmed that Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has reached agreement with the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation to take over Chase Bank. In addition, Chase bank branches countrywide will re-open on 27th April, 2016.
A statement circulated to the newsrooms by CBK says in parts:
“All Chase Bank Limited (In Receivership) branches will open by Wednesday, April 27 2016.The online and mobile banking services will also become available.
CBL customers will have immediate access to their deposits up to a maximum of Ksh 1 million”.
This is good news to more than 500,000 Chase bank customers.
