The second batch of Standard Gauge Railway locomotives have arrived in Mombasa amid excitement from Ministry of Transport and the Kenyan Government. The trains arrived today 28/1/2016 from China.
The locomotives have been offloaded and will arrive in Nairobi any time from now. Other locomotives are also on the way and in two weeks time,they will arrive in Mombasa.

Kenya is expected to receive a total of 56 locomotives,majority designed to ferry passengers.These locomotives,together with the construction of the railway line and stations cost the government upwards of Ksh327 billion.
