Why Kisii People Succeed In Business

1095

Kisii people are extremely successful in business and command respect across all Kenyan tribes. There are over 10 reasons why this tribe succeeds where other tribes have flop.

Kisii are the only people who can compete with Kikuyu and Somali tribes. Their grip for success is contributed by:

Starting small

Kisii people believe in the law of “starting small”.A significant number of Kisii people starts business with less than Ksh50, 000, which they grow to develop an empire.

Risks

If there are people who love taking risks, then Kisii is the tribe. It’s evident that, most businesses that involve risks are dominated by the Kisii tribe…sometimes the Kikuyu.

In business, this law dictates: “the higher the risk the better the returns”. Eventually, the Kisii strike gold.

Unity

Kisii people are united, sometimes prompting laughter from keen observers. When a kisii man spots an opportunity, he will call all his relatives and friends to come and share the meat. This is why you find in every town, there is a small village dominated by Kisiis.

Loans

There is no tribe in Kenya that loves loans more than kisiis, especially teachers. When a kisii get employed the first thing is to take a loan, build his mother a house and use the rest to set up a business.

They live below their means

If you have never interacted with a Kisii, you haven’t known the meaning of the word “stingy”.Kisiis have left a legacy wherever they live, that of being mean, mkono ghamu.Imagine a man who bargains even SGR fare….that,”si unipungusie hata mia mbiri”.But this trait has helped them scale the heights of entrepreneurship, save as much as their earnings could afford and invest for the future.

If a Kisii man buys his girlfriend biscuit,he will sing the whole week,”si nilikununulia bisikuti,si ulisikia utamu”.Women know them.

They are never cowards

You can’t intimidate a Kisii man, never. This is the same courage that has helped compete with ‘business wolves’ like the Kikuyu.

If you try to joke with him,you will hear:usichese na mimi, nitakumalisa, and he means it.If you are in the same business you are forced to keep your lane or face the high way.
