Twinkle Dwivedi is an Indian girl who cries blood instead of tears.
The teenager is a unique condition which everyone is shocked to learn of. When provoked, she would cry tons of blood, real blood, and whoever is around would get terrified when it happens.Initially,her parents thought the situation would turn better but as Twinkle grew older, she became even worse.
The girl is now a centre of attraction in India as millions of tourists visit the country to see the miracle.
But what causes this condition?Here is the real cause.
‘Hematidrosis (also called hematohidrosis or hemidrosis or blood sweat) is a very rare condition in which a human sweats blood that oozes from the forehead, nails, umbilicus, and other skin surfaces; as well as oozing from mucocutaneous surfaces causing nosebleeds, blood stained tears, and vicarious menstration. The episodes may be proceeded by intense headache and abdominal pain. In some conditions, the secreted fluid is more dilute and appears to be blood-tinged, while others may have darker bright red secretions resembling blood. Under conditions of extreme physical or emotional stress, the severe mental anxiety activates the sympathetic nervous system to invoke the stress-fight or flight reaction to such a degree as to cause hemorrhaging of the many capillary blood vessels, which are presented in a net-like form around the sweat gland . The blood vessels constrict to the point of rupture and exude blood. The blood goes into the sweat glands, which is pushed to the surface along with the sweat producing blood sweat. Acute fear and intense mental contemplation are the most frequent causes.”
