The Kenya Navy is ranked from the smallest to the highest rank based on the position an individual hold in the service. The Navy is categorized into two: commissioned and non-commissioned officers. The non-commissioned provide rank for the foot soldiers and servicemen while the commissioned provide the leadership ranks the General who is an equivalent to the admiral being the highest.

Kenya Navy officers provide guard against marine attack, they are also deployed to provide rescue operations in the sea and oceans.
When one is fresh from college, they are employed to non-commissioned rank until they gain enough experience to graduate to commissioned rank.
The salary of Kenya Navy officers range between Ksh70,000 to Ksh 800,000 per month.
