The Hamer people in southwestern Ethiopia have an annual Bull Jumping ceremony, where young boys have to run on the back of 7 or 10 bulls four times without falling for them to be considered Men.
The bulls are smeared with dung to make them slippery.
The ceremony involves several men where each of them is given time to jump on the bulls without falling down.in case one falls, he is considered a boy and not allowed to sit with old people, he is also not allowed to marry.
