Business related courses in Kenya are the best degree programs for people who want to earn good money and have successful careers, but there is always a confusion among students on which course to choose between, BBIT, BBA, BBM and BCOM.Here is a summary of the best degree course for you.

If you look at all the courses listed above, BBIT and BCOM emerge the best because they are popular among employers and they provide a wide range of areas of specialization. They are also offered in top universities in the country.

Bachelor of Business Information Technology is the best among all the four courses, and if you join Strathmore University chances are that you will secure employment faster than other graduates. For your information, Strathmore is known for producing the best business graduates and once you are enrolled, you are provided with the opportunity of pursuing CFA, CPA or ACCA within the institution.

The reason why BBIT is the best is that the course is a combination of Information Technology and business. Meaning that after college, you don’t have to study IT packages like most graduates. The course can also allow you to specialize in Accounting, Finance, IT, Human resource or procurement.

Another reason why the course is marketable is because universities produce few graduates, which limits competition for jobs and makes it possible for fresh graduates to secure employment.

Bachelor of Commerce is the second most popular business course in Kenya.BBIT beats it because BCOM is almost flooded. But it’s the best alternative since it’s widely accepted worldwide.

The good thing about BCOM is that even if there are many jobless graduates, you can easily get a job if you combine with professional courses like CFA, ACCA, CFE, CIFA and CPA.The only problem is that there are many people with such qualifications.

One thing you should be aware of is that the university you pursue the course matters a lot. The most preferred universities include Strathmore, KCA, UoN, JKUAT and Kabarak

Bachelor of Business Management is equally good but not as good as BCOM and BBIT. Unless you pursue CFA or ACCA, you will get hard times securing employment in Kenya. The best university for this course is Moi University.

Bachelor of Business Administration is offered at Maseno University. The course has almost the same content as BCOM but it has additional courses in IT.If you don’t manage to pursue BCOM or BBIT, this is the best course for you.
