Deputy President William Ruto lit fire when he told former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru to carry her own cross. The DP blamed Waiguru for overseeing corruption in her ministry, but shifted blame on Farouk Kibet, Ruto’s aide.
Following Ruto’s comment,Waiguru responded:
“I, like many Kenyans, are curious about what regarding my submissions has made the Deputy President & his close allies so uncomfortable that they have to comment on this matter in public gatherings …. This is indeed very telling.”
As the blame game continues over the loss of at least Ksh1.6 billion from NYS kitty, we can reliably revisit what Ruto said when CORD leader Raila Odinga said that money NYS had been ‘eaten’

“We are a transparent government and scandals such as the NYS, where Kenyans have lost their monies can’t be tolerated.That is why we have taken people to court and Waiguru should carry her own cross”
