This couple is about to join the Guinness Book of Records after they did the cheapest wedding in Kenya and probably in the world.
The couple spent Ksh 10 ($0.10) for their wedding. The amount was spent to purchase a wedding ring.
Ann Wambui and Wilson Mutura hail from Laikipia County, Kenya .The couple met three years and promised to make each other happy by having a church wedding.But the money in their possession at the moment was not enough to cater for wedding expenses. The couple decided to approach pastor Jasper Ojwach of Community Christian Worship Centre in Kasarani.The pastor offered to cater for transport, marriage certificate and other expenses, which cost less than Ksh10, 000 while the couple spend Ksh 10 on their wedding ring.
In front of a congregation, Ann Wambui and Wilson Mutura were declared Mr and Mrs by the pastor. The act melted the hearts of Kenyans, who are used to mega spending on weddings.
