Aisha Jumwa, the only iron lady in Mombasa, has won Malindi parliamentary ODM nomination by beating the incumbent Willy Baraka Mtengo by a huge margin.
Jumwa garnered a total of 8, 436 against Mtengo’s 3, 758 to win the most prestigious ticket.
The Kilifi Women Rep’s win means she is the MP elect, going by the ODM popularity in Mombasa.
Earlier, Jumwa had threatened to quit ODM after it emerged the party was planning to give Mtengo direct nomination, but the party rescinded their decision and instead opted for nominations.
Mtengo should now use the money he has earned since he won the controversial seat to start a business venture…I can suggest one.
