Arsenal have launched serious bid to sign France International Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.
Benzema is likely to cost the Gunners £42.5 million, or even higher, but his presence at Emirates will greatly strengthen Gunners’ attack.
It’s not the first time Arsene Wenger will sign a top player from the Spanish league; two of his top players, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sachez also signed from Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
Though Wenger is hopeful in securing the player’s signature, Manchester United have also expressed interest, but Real Madrid have said that Benzema is not for sale and the 27-year-old is happy in the Spanish capital, but Arsenal are closely monitoring his situation.
