Why Sportpesa will not return in 2020

The highly anticipated return of Sportpesa may not happen in 2020.Though the company is ready to resume operations, it’s highly unlikely that its license will be renewed anytime soon.

Last week, Sportpesa was optimistic that BCLB would renew its license. The staff had been informed that the renewal is imminent. But things turned south when the board halted the plans and instead benched the process until when the COVID-19 menace is over.

The virus, which has been in existence in Kenya since March, forced the government to suspend all gambling advertisements in print media and televisions until coronavirus is contained. It won’t be a good sign for the government to give Sportpesa a license at this time when the fight for the virus is still on. One of the reasons why Sportpesa was closed is because the government accused it of taking away money from the economy. Since money in circulation is low at this time, the entry of Sportpesa would make it even worse.

The virus is likely to be contained from September 2020, meaning that Sportpesa would get its license as from October 2020.

Still, there are several unresolved issues between the government and Sportpesa.We understand talks were halted last year. We are also convinced that there are no talks which are ongoing because of the coronavirus issues.

The lockdown which was brought by coronavirus has taught me several life lessons. I couldn’t imagine myself in a room for 60 days without interacting with anyone.

For anyone who has experienced the effects of coronavirus, here are important lessons you must have learnt;
1. It’s important for a country to have well established health care systems. Right now no country will welcome a foreigner.
2. Family is more important than friends, workmates and neighbours. When worse become worst, everyone retreats to their homes with family members.
3. Health is more important than money. There are billionaires who died with money in banks, it didn’t help them.
4. Build a decent home. Those who had decent and specious homes had less exposure to coronavirus because of less contact with infected people. Majority of cases were in towns where congestion is experienced.
5. We are under the mercies of God. Hospitals, governments and people in general may not help you. It’s God who will determine whether you’ll survive or not.
6. Importance of hygiene. Washing hands became the order of the day, thus improving hygiene standards. Cases like food poisoning and bacterial infections became scarce.
7. Importance of freedom. Lockdown denied everyone freedom of movement. This reminded us that we should appreciate the freedom we enjoy.
8. Funeral can be conducted without incurring huge costs
9. Life can chance any time. Before coronavirus, jobs were plenty, life was good but all of a sudden, life changed. Right now, millions of people have lost jobs.
10. Health is the most important career. When everyone had surrendered, doctors, nurses and other health professionals were in the front line to save lives.

Many bloggers have held cards close to their chests, they see micro-bloggers making repeated mistakes without correcting them. New bloggers make blunders, several of them before they learn the hard way.

Organic traffic is the real deal when it comes to blogging, when your blog draws a significant number of visits from search engines, it means you have something useful for your readers. Organic traffic brings sponsored articles, it brings direct advertisements and ranks you better than blogs that rely on social media traffic. The more organic traffic your blog receives, the more it becomes an authority blog.

There is one terrible mistake most bloggers commit that deny them organic traffic—plagiarism. When you don’t have fresh, unique and original content, Google will always overlook your content. Amount Of Money Churchill Show Pays Comedians

Churchill is one of the key comedy shows in Kenya. The program is aired by NTV every Sunday and watched by over 10 million people. Over 200 comedians have participated in the show. Sources say that each comedian is paid between Ksh 3,000 and Ksh10,000 per week based on experience and terms of agreement with Daniel Ndambuki

Veteran comedians like Otoyo and Eric Omondi earn upwards of Ksh5,000 per show. Upcoming comedians are paid as little as Ksh2,000. In a month, a comedian pockets Ksh10,000 to Ksh 40,000.

Full Statement of The Government Concerning the opening of pubs, hotels and restaurants in Kenya
Following the directives of His Excellency the President, National Emergency Response Committee on Coronavirus has approved the following guidelines for partial reopening of eateries and restaurants:
1. a) All restaurants shall only operate between 05.00 a.m. and 04.00 p.m.
2. b) Restaurants must limit the number of diners or customers to 4 people for every 10 square metres space.
3. c) Tables in the dining areas must be spaced 1.5 metres apart in the dining area or seat customer groups at least 1.5 metres apart.
4. d) Maintain distance from the back of one chair to the other chair not less than a metre and guests must face each other from a distance of at least one metre.
5. e) Alcohol shall only be sold with a meal in the restaurant and only be served to customers waiting to be served a meal, during the meal, or 30 minutes after the meal has ended.
(h) Temporarily discontinue self-service of ready-to-eat foods such as salad bars or buffets.

(i) Customers to have their meals delivered individually to the dining table by appointed restaurant stewards. If buffet meals are served the service shall be by only one person appointed by the restaurant.

(j) Restaurants to ensure quality and safety of food, to rinse and sanitize food contact surfaces, disinfect surfaces, floors and counters.

(K) Install adequate portable running water and accessible washing basins for hand washing purposes, install alcohol based-hand sanitizers at the entrance and exit points.

(L) Restaurants and eateries must install a contact free thermometer and ensure that every person entering the premises has his/her body temperature taken.

(M) Any staff member or reveler with temperature above 37.5 degrees shall not be allowed entry into the premises, and the premises shall immediately notify the Ministry of Health through the toll free no 719 for guidance.

(N ) Ensure physical distancing (1 metre – 3 feet) in food preparation areas.
