The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has advertised vacancies for primary and secondary school teachers. There are over 7,000 open vacancies for qualified professionals.
TSC will recruit 1,225 secondary teachers, 3,775 primary school teachers and 2,157 others, who will replace those who have left the service.
TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia, while announcing the good news to teachers, said the body intends to add even more teachers to fill the current 85,000 deficit .
Conditions for application for the vacancies include not more than 40 years of age and must have original certificates and testimonials.
