Yvonne Wamalwa died today and many Kenyans have gone online to ask about the disease that killed her.
The widow of former vice president Kijana Wamalwa, Yvonne Wamalwa, died on Thursday morning at Nanyuki Cottage Hospital while undergoing treatment.
Her sister, Stephanie Muite, said Mrs Wamalwa developed complications and was rushed to hospital where she passed on moments after being admitted.
She did not specify the nature of her ailment.
“We have been staying with Yvonne at my home at Ichuga Village since October last year and she has been [going to] Outspan Hospital in Nyeri Town for treatment.
“This morning her conditioned worsened and she passed on at Nanyuki Cottage Hospital,” said Ms Muite.
Several theories have emerged some suggesting she died from opportunistic diseases arising from a major disease her husband infected her with.Kijana Wamalwa died nearly two decades ago, in fact 16 years ago. The former VP suffered a lot, he was taken to several hospitals but every hospital he was admitted refused to handle his case, until he was flown to London where he died.Wamalwa was surviving on drugs that prolonged his life.Is it HIV?Is it Cancer?!!!………………….
