PSC Creates a Formula of Distributing Jobs among Tribes in Kenya

The Public Service Commission has created a formula to be used in distributing job opportunities in Kenya. In the formula, the Kikuyu community will take a lion’s share,17%,followed by Luhya community with 13 %.

PSC argues that the formula will create cohesiveness and promote ethnic diversity. Here is a complete breakdown of how jobs will be distributed.
According to the formula:
1)Kikuyu will be limited to 17%
2)Luyha will be limited to 13%
3)Kalenjins will take 12.8%
4)Kamba will take 10%
5)Luo will take 10%
6)Kisii will take 10%
7)Embu will take 2%
8)Mijikenda will take 2.3%
9)Masai will take 1.4%
10)The rest of the tribes will share the remaining 22% of positions
