Over 5,000 night runners from Kisii and Migori have requested INEOS to give them a chance to break Eliud Kipchoge’s marathon record. The night runners, who claim to have gained experience spanning over 20 years, claim that they can run below one hour arguing that Eliud is a joker who has been lazing around only to run for 1.59 hours with such favourable conditions.
“I am Omongina Nyansimera,I am the head of night runners here in Kisii.Yesterday night,we held a meeting where we urged the INEOS organizers to give us a chance to break Eliud Kipchoge’s record. We in Kisii are in close contact with Migori night runners and they have agreed to accompany us to Vienna”, said one of the night runners.
When contacted, head of migori night runners association, Mr Onyango, claimed that Eliud Kipchoge is a joke, he is a man who cannot chase even a rat. Onyango begged INEOS owner to give them a ticket to Vienna for the historic run.
