  • List of Decoders and Set boxes in Kenya and The best To Buy

There are over 10 types of decoders in Kenya, most of them being local.

If you are new to the usage of the set boxes, perhaps you are wondering which set box is best for you; you are at the right place.

Having tested most of these decoders and the feedback I receive from the users, I believe I should share information regarding which decoder to buy in Kenya.

To begin with, Startimes emerges as the best because most of the programmes are free-you can subscribe to the programs which are not free if you wish.

I always stick to Startimes because it has the best network; it doesn’t go off anyhow.

GoTV on the other hand is a very good decoder and has several channels that you don’t pay for. But one thing you have to know is that you have to pay subscription fee every month when using GoTV but the services are excellent.

For those who love football and lots of cartoon channels then this is the set box to have.

DSTV is another set box that is loved by football fans and people who own pubs and hotels.

Though subscription fees for DSTV is a bit high, it’s a good set box because it allows for free to air channels like Citizen TV, NTV,KTN and K24

ZUKU is a very excellent decoder because of the many family friendly programs available with the set boxes.

However,ZUKU requires monthly subscription in order to enjoy watching more channels. But one thing that makes it very attractive is the fact that it has additional services like internet.

Bamba decoder has poor network. It goes on and off each and every time. But the decoder is good when it’s in good condition.

Citizen Decoder is another option if indeed you are not impressed with Zuku,GoTV and Startimes.

You can also try other decoders provided in the following list.

    1. DSTV
    2. ZUKU
    3. Startimes
    4. Go TV
    5. Hotpoint
    6. Technosat
    7. GOSPELL
    8. Samsung
    9. Yaojin
    10. iClass
    11. Bamba
    1. Citizen decoder

When it comes to choosing the right decoder,I advise you not to be so much concerned with the amount you buy the set box, what should worry you is whether you will be satisfied with the services when using it.

Another factor you should consider is how much money you will pay as monthly subscription. I know there are many of you who will not be willing to pay Sh 800 as monthly subscription.

  • How To Market Your Business online In Kenya and Get High Profits

Marketing your business online in Kenya has become the obvious marketing strategy for entrepreneurs who mind about increasing profitability. Although many small companies don’t bother marketing their products-no wonder they are small-there is a big percentage of ambitious companies who market in various social media forums as well as blogs to beat their competitors.

Remember, most people in Kenya are seeking information online; the early you realize that marketing your products online is essential, the better.

One thing I like about online marketing is that those who visit various sites to seek information rarely miss to notice your adverts; they therefore make sure they follow up on the information of their interest. This is in contrast to advertising on televisions and bill boards where most of the information doesn’t reach the targeted audience.

For your information, marketing your products online costs you less than marketing through Television, bill boards and radios. Those who know this trick has always stuck to advertising on blogs and social media.

Do you know you can spend as little as Sh 3,000 per month on adverts and earn over Sh 100,000 from the same. This has been tested, and that’s the reason why nowadays start-ups don’t panic on how they’ll get customers.

The best business to advertise online include:

    Web hosting

To advertise on our site, send an email to [email protected] and we will call you to discuss more details.

  • Business of Selling Scrap Metals in Kenya and Profits

Scrap metal is a booming business in Kenya and will remain one of the most profitable businesses in the country in many years to come.

One thing many Kenyans, especially the most educated don’t realize is that you can make money without sitting in anyone’s office. Selling scrap metal is one of the easiest businesses you can conduct in Kenya regardless of education level

How exactly do people start this business?

In order to start the business you should have at least Ksh 50,000 as capital. This money will help buy scrap metals from the source. It will also cover transportation cost.

I will advise you, with time, to have your own vehicle to transport the metals.

Where to get scrap metals from

Scrap metals can be sourced from industries, factories, individual homes and garage.

    Where to sell scrap metals.

There are several industries in Industrial area who buy scrap metals. They buy in bulk and export abroad for recycling.

Alternatively, you can sell to jua kali artisans in Nairobi along jogoo road or any other town where jua kali industry is thriving.

    Profits from scrap metal business

From the several sources I have gathered information, the business brings an average of Ksh 100,000 per month. However, there are individuals who make as high as Ksh500, 000 per month.
