Before you exit any supermarket, make sure you counter check items listed on a receipt. In many instances rogue supermarket cashiers would input figures not in the products stickers. After doing so, they end up pocketing the cash, eventually.
A woman has reported on Facebook what happened to her recently when she went to shop in a Supermarket in Tassia.Below is her story.
“I am a very ANGRY WOMAN today. This daylight robbery happening in these supermarkets is sickening.
Yesterday I went to TUMAINI SUPERMARKET FEDHA for my usual shopping, I have been shopping here since it was opened. As I was ready to leave, something tells me to double check my receipt. Shock on me, they scanned an item twice and that meant I paid an extra 520/- , I immediately bring the issue up with the teller……How she and the ‘supervisors’ dealt with my complaint I what shocked me most, it’s like they were trying to cover it up. I caused a but of drama but to cut the long story short, they refunded my 520 and I left.
Today Morning, I pop into HOMEMATT SUPERMARKET to get some stuff, I only picked 3 items and headed to the till, so I pay via Opera, and since once bitten twice shy….I double check my receipt ‘JEHOVA WANYONYI’ Another theft, this time there was one item in my receipt that I didn’t pick… I ask the teller why there’s a dye in my receipt, his response ‘oh pole, no system error ‘ as in How? Just How? They were so quick to refund my money.
BUYER BEWARE, WE ARE BEING ROBBED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT ……THIS IS TOTALLY UNNACEPTABLE ….PLEASE SHARE WIDELY”
