Larry Madowo has quit NTV.The gifted journalist was notified by a friend that the station was about to sack him on April 1, 2018;he gave his resignation letter few hours to Easter Holiday
In his Facebook page, Madowo noted:
“I leave NTV Kenya as I came: humbled & grateful.
The job was one of the great honours of my life. Thanks to everyone who watched, and to Nation for the privilege of the opportunity. I’m proud of my amazing colleagues & everything we accomplished. Farewell, my friends.
Stay woke”
Larry Madowo has been at logger head with NTV.Over the past one year,he has been generating online content which were not auguring well for the government. Some of his Facebook posts that raised eyebrows include:
“Update: I made it to my meeting in Paris, despite the 30-minute delay from Brussels. Imagine living in Kisumu and working in Nairobi. This could be us but…”
The journalist was regretting that SGR was not what Kenyans had expected.
“On the move again. Running away from Paris for a bit to check out Brussels. Covering 312km in just over an hour. This could be us but…”
The post was also a direct attack to the Jubilee administration.
….and a couple of other articles he posted on Nation Newspaper.
The rain started beating him when Nation refused to publish his article. He ,however, managed to convince CNN to publish it.
Larry will join Linus Kaikai in the jobless corner.
