Mzee Jackson Kibor is among few Kenyan farmers who rose from grass to grace. The 88-year-old Kenyans who chaired Men’s conference was charming, his smile alone attracted women of beauty to the extent of marrying 4 of them. In the process, he was blessed with 21 children and several grandchildren.
For the past 40 years, zee Kibor has been doing large scale farming, growing cash and food crops. Being business oriented,Kibor managed to accumulate assets worth Ksh5 billion.His net worth is estimated to be Ksh 6 billion.
Mzee Kibor owned 4,500 acres of land in Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia
Kibor notes that his rise to stardom began when he left the tanning company and began driving Lorries for the late millionaire Jonathan Kibogy in Uasin Gishu.
“I used to drive lorries transporting maize and potatoes across East Africa, life was tough and I learnt the important lesson of saving my salary. After some time accumulated an amount I used to purchase my own potatoes that I sold in Kampala,” he recalls, adding “I used to buy a bag of potatoes at Sh6 per bag in Chepkorio and Metkei areas using Sh3 per bag for brokers and transport, while in Kampala I would sell a bag at Sh16. I saved the profits which I used to buy my own Canter lorry and got another lorry shortly after” besides transporting maize using the cargo train from Kipkabus and Ainabkoi areas.
But it was at the police college where he honed his skills in darts and when a competition pitting contestants from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania came calling, Kibor was at his best. Though it was held in Eldoret “It was an East African event. My win was captured in the dailies to the surprise of my family and friends. The car was valued at Sh17, 600.”
But Kibor turned his life around by making in real coin through large scale maize and wheat farming. His first large piece of land measured 836 acres in Kipkabus. Buying began through winning Sh35,000 in a darts championship alongside a brand new showroom car worth Sh17, 600.
“I borrowed Sh55, 000 from the Land Bank and added to the Sh35,000 and bought my first land measuring 836 acres in Kipkabus where I grew maize and did a lot of dairy farming. My first wife Mary helped manage the farm and repayed the loan before I married Josephine in 1965, who also stayed on the same farm,” says Kibor who was granted prayers by the court to divorce Josephine.
His second foray was in acquiring 1,543 acres in Kabenes area at Sh220, 000 in 1969 before purchasing 1,160 acres in Kitale which had 500 Friesian cows at Sh1.5 million. Then Kibor struck the Mother Lode with 357 acres in Moiben at Sh12 million

Kibor has four wives with latest being Eunita, 36 years old . He was the talk of town after divorcing two wives naomi jeptoo and jepkoech in span of 14 months
Kibor divorced Jepkoech after 52 years in marriage citing desertion, cruelty and denial of conjugal rights. She states in the affidavit that she is the fourth wife of Kibor having met in Chepkoilel area and intimately engaged before marrying according to Nandi cultural customs in 2002 and bearing five children together.
Jepkoech 69, once during her testimony blamed Eunita for her woes, saying Kibor 83 changed after marrying the third wife Naomi and subsequently Eunita.
Yunita 36 has been at loggerheads with the some of Kibor’s children from other wives who accuse her of interfering in the distribution of wealth despite her being the youngest wife.
“I did not wed this year or even last year as the social media is making it look. I was married to Kibor in 2002. We are blessed with five children and we live happily,” said Yunita, adding that the video showing her and Kibor dancing and embracing in what was perceived to be their wedding was instead a wedding ceremony of their close family friend.
“The video is of 2015 where we were the best couple at the wedding of our friend Abraham Cheluget who resides in the United States of America. The wedding took place in Tindinyo falls in Nandi County and we were dancing in the church,” explained
Jackson Kibor 85, is the talk of the town. On 18th December 2018, an Eldoret court allowed him to divorce his third Naomi Jeptoo, his wife of 43 years.
In March, Kibor filed a divorce case against 62-year-old Naomi, on grounds of hostility and cruelty. Kibor added that Naomi had denied him conjugal rights
MZEE KIBOR WANTS DNA TESTS FOR HIS CHILDREN
Controversial Eldoret tycoon Mzee Jackson Kibor can now breathe a sigh of relief after he won a court battle against his six children over his 2,000-acre piece of land.
The court also allowed Mzee Kibor to subject the six children to a DNA test before he can allocate them portions of the land.
According to the veteran farmer-cum-politician, he did not marry the children’s mother hence is skeptical about whether they’re actually his offspring.
Jackson kibor accused them of attempting to sell sections of his 2,000-acre land as they had done to some of his property in Nairobi and Mombasa.
“Hawa watoto yangu ni wakora…wakora kwa sababu waliuza nyumba yangu Karen, Nairobi, na wakauze ingine Nyali, Mombasa,” said Mzee Kibor.
“Hawa watoto wanasumbua, nitawapeleka DNA nihakikishe kama ni wangu ama si wangu kwa sababu mimi sikuoa mama yao.”
Mzee Kibor’s Death
Mzee Jackson Kibor died on 17 March 2022.He died of kidney failure.
