It’s now possible to pay DSTV via MPESA.The Company’s MPESA Paybill number is 444900 and it’s the one to use when you are paying your monthly bills.
The simple procedure is as follows:
- Go to Safaricom menu, then select M-PESA.
- Choose Lipa na M-PESA, then Pay Bill.
- Enter the DStv Mpesa Pay bill number, 444900.
- Enter your DStv Smart Card number (the Smart Card number is indicated on the card in the decoder)
- Then enter the amount to pay.
- Enter your MPESA PIN.
- Double check and confirm that you have entered the right information and hit OK to send and complete the M-PESA transaction.
- You now receive a transaction confirmation SMS from M-PESA.
DSTV monthly charges are as low as Ksh950 and as high as Ksh 7, 900.You can select the package of your choice based on the channels of choice. The one on demand is Compact Plus which costs Ksh 5,200.

About 7 years ago,we used to watch English Premier League via G-TV which was the main competitor of DSTV,but the owner became broke and left the market.Nowadays it’s only DSTV dominating the market.However,Amazon has obtained a license to air EPL matches from 2018/2019 season. You can stream live EPL matches via Amazon.
I love football so much that I won’t go without DSTV.Every month I make sure I subscribe to my favourite channels,Supersport3 and Supersport5.GOtv is also good but it doesn’t air all EPL matches.ZUKU is only good when it comes to Nigerian Movies and local content. I also like Startimes because it doesn’t require monthly subscription.
