If you want to board hire a taxi in Nakuru you obvious go for the best. Unlike in Nairobi where Uber is the Alpha and Omega, Nakuru is dominated by Wasili which has over 1,000 taxi cars.
In 2018 I visited Nakuru and since I am used to Uber I tried to search for it within the town, shock unto me, no Uber taxi in Nakuru.I went to a nearby hotel to ask which other taxi I can use only to be informed that only Wasili was existing. I downloaded the App and searched for available cab around and fortunately there were more than 10 of them waiting.
Besides Wasili, there’s also Safiri which is relatively new. Wasili and Safiri have completely outshined others to dominate taxi business in Nakuru.
If you are planning to travel to Nakuru, don’t bother to use Uber App, download the Wasili App and request for their services. Wasili is reliable, cheap and readily available in the town. From Town Centre you’ll spend less than Ksh1,000 to your estate regardless of which estate you’re going.
Alternatively, you can download Safiri just in case Wasili doesn’t serve you as per the expectations. The two provide almost similar travelling experience.
