  • Why Oburu Odinga Want To Testify at The ICC

    oburu odinga

Nominated Senator Oburu Odinga has shocked Kenya with his latest move which will see him testifying at the ICC.

On Friday, Oburu offered to be Deputy President William Ruto’s witness at the ICC, claiming that he has crucial evidence that would shock the entire world. He added that Ruto is innocent; he was fixed by PNU led by Moses Kuria and his master.

Responding to Oburu’s latest move, Jubilee coalition, led by Parliament majority leader Aden Duale, wondered where Raila’s brother has been since Ruto’s case started at the ICC.They claimed that he is an opportunist who want to reap where he did not sow. They reminded him and the CORD coalition that no amount of sweet talking can win Deputy President William Ruto to their side.

The reason why Oburu has decided to be defense witness is the fact that 2017 is fast approaching. Like 2013, Ruto’s votes are very crucial, they gave Uhuru the presidency. They are aware that ICC is Ruto’s heaviest baggage and anyone with the solution will definitely win him.

Opposition knows that TNA is wounded due to Kuria’s latest confession. As a result, they have fronted Raila’s most trusted man,his brother,to offer support for Ruto at this trying moments.Seeing Oburu Odinga at the Hague is like seeing Raila as the defense witness.

It will be hard for the struggling opposition to convince Ruto beyond doubts that their latest move is genuine, given that they’ve been silent until Moses Kuria gave his side of the story.

    issa hayatou

Longest serving FIFA President Sepp Blatter has been stripped off all his duties by FIFA ethics committee and replaced by Issa Hayatou with immediate effect.

Mr Blatter was given a 90-day suspension to allow thorough investigation to be conducted in his office following massive reports of corruption. The Swiss was in 2010 accused of irregularly awarding World Cup television rights to undeserving media houses, which seriously tainted his image.

Hayatou, 69, is the president of the Confederation of African Football .In 2002; he contested for president of FIFA but was defeated by the outgoing President.

The Cameroonian is expected to restore sanity and ensure credibility in the giant football institution. He is also tasked with ensuring a smooth transition in leadership at the institution.

  • Moses Kuria told to Go Slow on ICC Issue, to Meet Uhuru

    moses kuria
Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has been urged by Central Kenya politicians to tame his tongue regarding the ICC issue.

Sources indicate that on Wednesday, the outspoken legislature met a couple of senior politicians from TNA who warned him of dire consequences if he continues to carelessly speak about ICC.

The politicians fear that a rift may emerge between Deputy President William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta if the issue turns against TNA.They argued that this is not the right time to start discussing ICC matters as the country is warming up for 2017 elections.

During the meeting, Kuria was urged not to accompany Jubilee leaders during their scheduled series of prayers for Ruto and Sang. He was instructed that, if he must accompany them, he should desist from speaking about ICC.
It has emerged that the President is so mad with Mr Kuria and has scheduled a meeting with him, which will focus on his latest utterances about Ruto fixing and procurement of ICC witnesses.

Uhuru’s name has been dragged into Ruto’s cases at the ICC; a matter that has slowed down Jubilee momentum. Failure by Jubilee administration to answer Raila’s claims that Uhuru fixed Ruto is a clear indication that the opposition leader has a point.

But if the ICC discussion will go on, Uhuru may be the ultimate loser, that’s why Central Kenya leaders are not interested in continuing with the ICC debate.

  • Jürgen Klopp May make History at Liverpool

    jurgen klopp

Klopp signed a three and half year contract with Liverpool for £15 million and he is expected to restore the clubs former glory.

The German joined Borussia Dortmund in 2001, when the club was just a mid-table team. Klopp led the team into winning two Bundesliga titles, in 2011 and 2012.

Until his exit from the club in 2015, Borussia Dortmund was one of the best clubs in Europe. The management, fans and football lovers adore him because of what he has done for the club.

In his new assignment, Klopp is expected to win trophies, but it won’t be an easy task with the current crop of players at Anfield. The club has to break the bank and allow him bring at least six good players.

Going by the performance of Liverpool in the current season, they are likely to finish fourth, if not fifth. However, the team is likely to win major trophies in coming seasons.

  • When TSC will Pay September Salaries and why they Won’t Hire the 70,000 Relief Teachers

    tsc
The Teachers Service Commission advertised 70,000 job vacancies to replace the striking teachers. This was after it became increasingly evident that striking teachers were not bothered to return to work.

The decision to employ relief teachers was meant to send a strong message to the striking teachers and their unions, KNUT and KUPPET, that TSC could terminate their contracts. They also withheld their September salaries together with KNUT and KUPPET monthly deductions.

The teachers unions, KNUT and KUPPET, realized that they were losing the battle. They hurriedly organized for a joint meeting where they resolved to call off the strike so as to continue receiving their daily bread.
On Saturday, they officially called off the strike and ordered all teachers to resume duties with immediate effect.

They returned to class empty handed, and even though there are court cases concerning the 50-60 percent pay rise, chances of getting the increment are very minimal.

Until now, most of the teachers have not received their September salaries, but reliable sources tell that the employer of teachers, TSC, is processing the pay and next week all the amount will be in the account.

Calling off the strike dimmed hopes of many jobless Kenyans who had applied for the advertised 70,000 positions. It’s unfortunate that eventually, they won’t be employed through the arrangement.

  • Moses Kuria and Uhuru in Trouble as Raila Spills the Beans: This is what Transpired

    uhuru raila
The country is experiencing political fireworks as the two most influential politicians in the soil engage in serious war of words over ICC.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has come out with shocking revelations indicating that Gatundu South Member of Parliament and President Uhuru Kenyatta played a significant role in fixing Ruto at the International Criminal Court.

According to Raila, Uhuru, through Moses Kuria, coached witnesses and presented them to the Waki and Kriegler commissions who later forwarded them to the ICC to testify against Deputy President William Ruto.

In 2007, Kuria was working for Mr.Kenyatta as his Assistant. He was assigned a special role of ensuring that the 2007-2008 post-election violence victims get justice through the ICC.This was to make sure Ruto, who was perceived to be the main mastermind of the deadly violence, rots in jail.

He adds that there is no way Uhuru could be in the cold as his Assistant was busy arranging how Ruto get to jail.He has urged the President to break his silence by telling Kenyans the role he played to implicate Ruto with the ICC case.

Raila claims that when the coalition government was formed, a series of meetings were held at State House to strategize on how to fix Ruto. Most of the meetings were chaired by Uhuru Kenyatta. During the meetings, the witnesses were given some money and coached on how to give false evidence at the ICC.

These are serious allegations from the former Prime Minister and they might generate serious rivalry between the two leaders (Uhuru and Raila), which could spill over to the next general elections.

Already, Moses Kuria has admitted that he coached witnesses.ICC has also welcomed his evidence and they have scheduled a meeting with the outspoken legislature. However, Uhuru has not uttered a word over the issue but since Raila has spoken, expect a serious statement from the President.

  • This is Why Ann Waiguru is Under Siege even after Suing Raila Odinga

    ann waiguru
Trouble is following Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru wherever she goes. Fresh and serious allegations have emerged that might send Waiguru home forever.

According to the Senate, Waiguru may soon have a case to answer. It all started when she set aside Sh 15 billion to compensate the 2007-2008 IDP victims. It is alleged that she awarded IDP from Central Province Sh 400,000 plus a piece of land, those from Rift Valley were awarded Sh 400,000 minus a piece of land while those from Nyanza and Western Kenya were awarded only Sh 10,000.

The Devolution Ministry was asked to produce documents showing how the money was distributed but the ministry was reluctant to produce all the documents, raising eye brows.

When the Senate realized that injustice was done, they decided to form a committee to look into the matter. The committee will do a thorough investigation and if she is found guilty then she could be forced to go home.

Already, over Sh 800 million is missing from NYS account, Waiguru has also confirmed. Since it’s her docket, the law dictates that she must step aside to allow investigations to be conducted, but she has maintained that she’s going nowhere. When opposition leader Raila Odinga raised alarm, Waiguru sued him for implicating her with the mega corruption.

Since the latest issue is a weighty matter, if she is found guilty, the Minister will be forced out of office or cost Uhuru’s job in 2017.
