  • Kabando Wa Kabando and Alfred Keter Cause Drama in Parliament

    alfred keter
Mukurweini Member Of Parliament Kabando WA Kabando and Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter gave other Members of Parliament extra job on Wednesday when they nearly sent each other to the creator.

It all started when Alfred Keter stood up and spoke 1000 words, narrating how Uhuru fixed Ruto at the ICC.Kabando wa Kabando, who was sitted just behind the outspoken legislature, stood up sweating profusely and started throwing words at Keter. He was overcame by emotions and started physical confrontation.

MPs who were present realized that things were getting out of hand; they were forced to rush and separate the two legislatures. Even after they were separated, they continued hurling insults at each other and cursing the legislatures who separated them.

The Nandi Member of Government has been vocal over Waiguru saga,he has even proposed a motion to impeach Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru.Though other MPs have told him to slow down, the no nonsense, former student leader, has vowed to soldier on until justice is done to tax payers.

  • Moses Kuria and Uhuru in Trouble as Raila Spills the Beans: This is what Transpired

    uhuru raila
The country is experiencing political fireworks as the two most influential politicians in the soil engage in serious war of words over ICC.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has come out with shocking revelations indicating that Gatundu South Member of Parliament and President Uhuru Kenyatta played a significant role in fixing Ruto at the International Criminal Court.

According to Raila, Uhuru, through Moses Kuria, coached witnesses and presented them to the Waki and Kriegler commissions who later forwarded them to the ICC to testify against Deputy President William Ruto.

In 2007, Kuria was working for Mr.Kenyatta as his Assistant. He was assigned a special role of ensuring that the 2007-2008 post-election violence victims get justice through the ICC.This was to make sure Ruto, who was perceived to be the main mastermind of the deadly violence, rots in jail.

He adds that there is no way Uhuru could be in the cold as his Assistant was busy arranging how Ruto get to jail.He has urged the President to break his silence by telling Kenyans the role he played to implicate Ruto with the ICC case.

Raila claims that when the coalition government was formed, a series of meetings were held at State House to strategize on how to fix Ruto. Most of the meetings were chaired by Uhuru Kenyatta. During the meetings, the witnesses were given some money and coached on how to give false evidence at the ICC.

These are serious allegations from the former Prime Minister and they might generate serious rivalry between the two leaders (Uhuru and Raila), which could spill over to the next general elections.

Already, Moses Kuria has admitted that he coached witnesses.ICC has also welcomed his evidence and they have scheduled a meeting with the outspoken legislature. However, Uhuru has not uttered a word over the issue but since Raila has spoken, expect a serious statement from the President.

  • How To start Business of Selling Ladies and Women Handbags in Kenya

Doing ladies handbag business is profitable, cheap to run and ideal in the modern world. To start the venture in Kenya, requires at least Ksh 10,000.

It’s not a secret anymore that business of selling ladies handbags in Kenya is a booming venture. It becomes juicier when those engaged in full time contracts with companies engage in this business as a side hustle. The best places to source for women handbags is Eastleigh Nairobi. An the best towns to start the business include Nairobi,Mombasa,Kisumu and Nakuru.

I have interacted with many women engaging in this business, either in part time or full time, and have intimated to me that starting is hard but once you gain referrals and enough customer base, becoming rich will not be a theory but part of you. What you need to know is where to buy cheap and maximize profits by setting wide profit margin.

To be on the safer side, ensure you have a good Facebook Page with at least 3,000 followers. You can promote your page or tell your friends to like it and share with their friends. Facebook has become the largest single source of customers for handbag sellers in the country.

The capital required for women handbag business vary depending on the location and where you intend to conduct the business.

If you have Ksh 15,000, you can comfortably start the business. However, you will be moving around selling to your friend since a physical location might be expensive. I encourage anyone to start the business from home and monitor its performance before deciding to operate from a stall.

A careful selection of physical location is important. In order to operate from a  stall be prepared to have at least Ksh 150,000 if you are in Nairobi and Ksh100, 000 if you will be operating in Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisii or Kisumu. This mount will cater for three months’ rent, a license and the cost of buying your first stock.

The best place to buy women handbags is either Gikomba or Eastleigh, Nairobi. If you are outside Nairobi, please don’t allow those brokers in your town to make extra ordinary profits from you. What they normally do is to buy from Gikomba or Eastleigh and come to sell for you at exorbitant prices.

Buying in bulk at Eastleigh will enable those guys to reduce the price significantly for you, thus allowing you to make good cash from sales.

A single bag normally ranges from Sh 500 to Sh 1,800 and you can sell between Sh 2,000-Sh 3,500.This will make you double profit.

Once you have purchased your bags, take clear photos and post on your Facebook Page together with price tag but indicate NEGOTIABLE.

Alternatively, you can take some to your friends or family members to have a look at them and eventually buy if it’s their taste.

  • How to Start Bodaboda Business in Kenya

    bodaboda
Before you even think of starting this type of business, you should be aware that it’s one of the fastest growing industries in Kenya.

Since 2010, the industry has opened up several wonderful opportunities for Kenyan youths, thus denying millions of Kenyans opportunities to commit crime, which is a positive to the country.

Once you are set to start this venture, you should have a capital of between Ksh 50,000 to Ksh 100, 000, for those who intend to operate a single motorcycle. This amount will cater for purchasing of a new bodaboda, insurance cover, protective jackets and  helmet and fuel.

If you intend to have more than one motorcycle, then multiply the amount we have stated above with the number of bodaboda you intend to own.

Even if you are employed, you can still run bodaboda business as a side hussle. To do this, ensure that you employ a reliable person to ride your machine. Put a target for him, if he exceeds the target, that’s none of your business.

In Nairobi, the average amount a bodaboda can fetch per day is between Ksh 800-Ksh1, 500.

Towns where bodaboda business is most profitable include Kisumu, Busia, Kisii, Bomet, Mtwapa, Kakamega,Luanda,Naivasha, Nakuru, Meru and Bungoma.

  • How to organize for a Wedding and Amount of money to spend on wedding in Kenya

    sonko rescue team
A wedding is one of the most adored events in every living man or woman on the Universe. It strengthens the bond between the lovebirds and assures them of a great future. But what brings headache is preparation for the Wedding.

It can come at a time when you are not financially prepared and since you don’t want embarrassment, you have to do everything to satisfy all parties in your wedding.

One thing that people hate is the budget associated with any kind of a wedding. I have managed to be the chairperson of several wedding committees and I would like to share my experience on the amount of money to spend during a wedding.

The first thing to know is that marriage does not end when the wedding ends; it’s actually the beginning of a long journey. Don’t spend all your cash to make people happy as you remain swimming in poverty. Have a reasonable budget that will not break your bank.

The committee members are the most important people, choose at least 15 strong members who can coordinate the function from inception to completion. They don’t have to be family member, but people you believe cannot disappoint you.

Make rough estimates of the amount to spend on your wedding. The following are the best things required in a wedding:

At least 8 vehicles, one for the bride and another one for the bridegroom.

A sleek car which will carry the bride and the bridegroom. In Nairobi, a Range Rover, Mercedes, Prado or Toyota V8 can cost you Ksh 35,000 per day.

Look for a reliable company or individual who will cover the wedding. He must have at least two video cameras.

Identify a company to fix tents and flowers. There must be more than one tent because one will be placed where the cake will lie and others will provide a shade for the visitors.

Ensure that you have people to supply food during the party; they must be from a reliable company.

Identify someone to provide a cake for the wedding. It’s the bride’s responsibility to identify the cake of her choice.

Select a group to perform during the ceremony. They can be a church choir or professional dancers. Also include a Master of Ceremony

Identify the venue of your wedding.

Then identify where to purchase suites for those to match in your wedding

Set a good budget for the gown. This is purely the work of the bride groom and not the committee

All these things need concerted efforts, both from the committee members and the ones tying the knot.

To accomplish this, never frustrate your committee. Ensure that they make it their own even if it’s your wedding. Allow them to make critical decision without necessarily interfering with their program.

The first thing they should do is to decide how regular they should meet. From my rich experience, they should meet at least twice a month and when it’s one month to the wedding, they ought to meet weekly.

The first few meetings is to put a target amount to pay for each committee member, this will be based on the rough estimate you have done.

The total cost of your wedding should be Ksh 500,000 if you live in Nairobi, but it might go up if you choose to use a Limousine instead of a cheap car.

To hire a limousine in Nairobi will cost you at least Sh 35,000 per hour and if your wedding will take 4 hours then the total amount will be Ksh 150,000.

  • This is Why Ann Waiguru is Under Siege even after Suing Raila Odinga

    ann waiguru
Trouble is following Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru wherever she goes. Fresh and serious allegations have emerged that might send Waiguru home forever.

According to the Senate, Waiguru may soon have a case to answer. It all started when she set aside Sh 15 billion to compensate the 2007-2008 IDP victims. It is alleged that she awarded IDP from Central Province Sh 400,000 plus a piece of land, those from Rift Valley were awarded Sh 400,000 minus a piece of land while those from Nyanza and Western Kenya were awarded only Sh 10,000.

The Devolution Ministry was asked to produce documents showing how the money was distributed but the ministry was reluctant to produce all the documents, raising eye brows.

When the Senate realized that injustice was done, they decided to form a committee to look into the matter. The committee will do a thorough investigation and if she is found guilty then she could be forced to go home.

Already, over Sh 800 million is missing from NYS account, Waiguru has also confirmed. Since it’s her docket, the law dictates that she must step aside to allow investigations to be conducted, but she has maintained that she’s going nowhere. When opposition leader Raila Odinga raised alarm, Waiguru sued him for implicating her with the mega corruption.

Since the latest issue is a weighty matter, if she is found guilty, the Minister will be forced out of office or cost Uhuru’s job in 2017.

    Liverpool's Brendan Rodgers
Liverpool Manager Brendan Rodgers was sacked on Sunday after posting a series of poor results.
His last match as the Liverpool Manager ended at a draw with Everton, but that did not convince the club not to show him the door.

The Northern Irishman joined Liverpool FC in June 2012 when former Liverpool Manager Raphael Benitez was shown the door after a long spell at the club. The management believed Rodgers was the best man for the job and he could help Liverpool reclaim its past glory. However, the manager has not lived up to the expectation of the stake holders, which prompted the club to terminate his contract with immediate effect.

The club has not yet identified his successor but it’s believed that former Borussia Dortmund Manager Jürgen Klopp may succeed Rodgers. In the meantime, Brendan Rodgers Assistant manager, Colin Pascoe, will assume Rodgers position on an interim capacity.

The goings at Anfield might spill offer to Stamford Bridge where Jose Mourinho is the boss. Reliable sources indicate that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is not pleased with Mourinho’s work. • Equitel Vs MPESA

    equity bank

Equity bank launched its mobile money transfer service, Equitel, in 2015 which could see customers sending and receiving money through their mobile lines without necessarily having a second line.

The mobile virtual network operates on a thin-SIM which is placed on top of the normal SIM card.

To use the Equitel Services, you should be Equity account holder or register by dialing *247# .Then visit any Equity branch near you and collect the thin SIM card at a small fee.

Since it was launched, Equitel has performed beyond the expectation. The platform has registered over 1.5 million users and more customers are expressing interest of using the virtual network to make essential transactions.

One of the advantages of Equitel over M-pesa is that the former is relatively cheap and can perform other functions apart from paying bills, sending and receiving money.

Unlike M-Pesa which charges up to Ksh 110 for transactions, Equitel services for Equitel members are absolutely free.Non-Equitel members are charges just 1 % of the amount or Ksh 25 on the higher side.

Since Equity Bank has a solid customer base within East Africa, it’s a matter of time before the Banker start eating seriously into Safaricom M-Pesa customer base.
